The Butter Chicken! One of the most popular dishes of all time is unbelievably easy and simple to make! Just a few essential ingredients and you get a perfect restaurant like butter chicken!

It's my mom's recipe which she got from my father's friend who is restauranteur, which gives you that exact taste you love about this dish!



1.  Marinate chicken in the all the ingredients for 30 mins minimum

2.  Microwave or cook in oven as it is for 20 mins


1.  Heat butter and oil and add onion paste and tomato puree

2.  Cook for 4-5 mins then add kitchen king ginger garlic paste , Coriander, salt, KLM and color, saute for a min and cover and cook for 5 mins

3.  Add in the khush khush and cashew paste and kasuri maithi along with chicken

4.  Cover and cook for another 6-8 mins

Garnish and serve with hot buttered naan 


  Ingredient List

  • 1kg, Marinade Chicken
  • 1/4 cup Curd
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 big/2 small caramelized and crushed with hands Onions
  • 1/2 tsp Orange color
  • 1 tbsp, Gravy Butter
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 cup Onion paste
  • 300 gms (1.5 of the tetra pack) Tomato puree
  • 1/4 cup (preferably MDH, has the most authentic taste, otherwise whatever available) Kitchen king masala
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri lal mirch
  • 1 tsp Khush khush paste
  • 15 churned into smooth paste Cashews
  • 1/3 cup Kasuri maithi
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Cream
  • 1 tsp Kasuri methi
  • 1/4 tsp crushed and powdered Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp crushed and powdered Cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp crushed and powdered Star anise
  • 1/4 tsp crushed and powdered Cinnamon
