This dish is one of the favourite dish of my children. It has chicken , prawns which is full of proteins and vegetables that people tend to avoid . It's a very tasty recipe and a nutritious side dish.


Add 3tbspn white oil to the kadhai and heat it . Add 3 cinnamon. Add the chicken pieces . Mix it well . Add the prawns and mix it well . Cook for 2-3 min. Add 1tbspn garlic paste . Mix it well.

Add finely chopped onions. Mix it well . Add the chopped red-green chilli . Mix it well . Add red chilli powder. Mix it well. Add the chopped green papaya. Mix it well . Add salt as per taste. Mix it well. Cover with a lid and let it cook for sometime.


Now add the chopped ash gourd . Mix it well for 4-5min . Add 1tspn sugar . Now cover it for 9-10min and let it cook . 


Now mix it well . Take 1tspn cornflour in a bowl and mix it with water now add this to the vegetables. Mix it well . Cook until the vegetables are well cooked.  


Serve it with plain rice or fried rice or chapati.


The chicken and the prawns should be fresh and not frozen as it enhances the taste of the vegetables and there is no such special tip . Just follow the recipe step by step and your dish will be as tasty as mine.

  • 1finely chopped green papaya
  • 1 finely chopped ash gourd
  • 200gm chicken cut into small pieces
  • 200gm prawns
  • 1tspn red chilli powder
  • 1tspn sugar
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1tspn cornflour
  • 3 cardamom stick
  • 4 red green chilli chopped
  • 1tbspn garlic paste
  • 1 big onion finely chopped
  • 3tbspn white oil
