Thupka - Tibetan Noodles Soup

Thupka is a full meal soup which is very healthy due to lots of veggies in it and satisfies your stomach!


Step 1 : In a pressure cooker saute 1 tsp of garlic in some butter. Add half a cup of onion followed by puree of 2 medium tomatoes.

Step 2- Add 2 cups of mixed vegetables ( beans, carrot, mushrooms, cabbage) saute for a minute. Add salt, crushed pepper, 2 cube of vegetable stock mix well.

Step 3- Add tofu or paneer, 4 cups of water ( desired consistency) 1 tsp light soya sauce and half a lemon. And pressure cook for 1 whistle.

Serve with boiled noodles and spring onion.

  • 1 tsp crushed Pepper
  • 2 cups Vegetable stock
  • 1/2 cup diced Paneer
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup boiled Noodles
  • 2 tbsp chopped, for garnishing Spring onion
  • 4 cups, according to consisitency Water
