Chicken Curry in Coconut Milk

All time favorite version of chicken curry 



1.   Marinate chicken with salt, turmeric powder and red chili powder. Keep it aside.

2.   Heat oil (preferably coconut oil).

3.   Sauté chopped shallots till they turn golden brown.

4.   Add ginger garlic paste, curry leaves and slit green chilies.

5.   Add turmeric, coriander, red chili and black pepper powders.

6.   Add chopped tomatoes and salt to this.

7.   Add marinated chicken pieces.

8.   Cover and cook.

9.   Once the chicken is half done, add thin coconut milk and meat masala powder to this and continue cooking.

10. Lastly add thick coconut milk and serve hot!

  • 300 gms, pieces Boneless chicken
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 3-4 chopped Shallots
  • 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 8-9 Curry leaves
  • 3-4 slit Green chilly
  • 1 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 2 medium chopped Tomato
  • 3 tbsp Coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp Meat Masala powder
  • 2 tbsp Oil1
