Sprouted Lentil Curry

Easy and healthy Curry or Dal, whatever you feel like calling, but amazing to eat it with Roti or Pulav.


Take sprouted black masoor dal, with some water, salt and a bay leaf pressure cook for two whistles and keep aside.

In a blender take 2 onion, and 2 green chillies and blend it to a paste. Also 2 tomatoes and blend it. In a pan take 2 tbs of oil, crackle 1 tsp cumin seeds, add onion paste, saute till brown, then add tomato paste, add 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbs of coriander powder, 1 tsp of cumin powder, 1 tsp of garam masala, 2 tsp of chilli powder, 1 tsp of crushed kasturi methi. Add half a glass of water, let the gravy thicken. Then add the lentils, and 3 tbs of fresh cream. And let it simmer in low flame till the gravy thickens to right consistency. Enjoy with rice or roti.

  • 1 tsp Kasoori methi
  • 1/2 glass Water
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 3 tbsp Cream
